I wouldn't be a fan of that. The way I see it is that you should end the day on a happy note. The exercise before the u turn is easy and reinforces the skills of the day. It makes people want to come back.
There's also a limit on how much you can learn in one sitting without a disconnect. It's also better to work on skill development in a certain time frame. When you start the day with 10 you start developing the gross motorskills needed to complete it. When you finish at the end of the day and review it your working to fine tune those skills. With a longer period of time between teh two, it's not as effective. Thank you cognition, you were the best class ever.
I also find that coaches that play down the u-turns do the best. People get their heads so wrapped around the axle because everyone told them that it's hard that they make it harder than it actually is to do the box. To any newbie or person about to take the MSF- Just relax and take everything a step at a time.
I can totally understand this side of it. (I loved motor development class)

It's really not that bad. The first u turn exercise my students almost always do it perfect by the third time. If they don't I get in the box with them to help them with their head turn. AFter that they're generally good.
The ones with the problems after that are typically the ones on the ninja 250 and don't want their thumbs getting pinched between the bars and the tank
She passed - easily. Only had 3 points against her, and they weren't in the box! I'm so proud of her...it was the same test I had taken a few years before, I figured it might have changed.
They had a double class - 21 people. Friday night was 6-1015 or so, written test was given then.
Saturday 9 people were there from 730 - 1200, then the other 12 (her group) from 1230 - 5pm. They did exercises 1-10 on Saturday.
Sunday they switched - she was there from 730 - 1200 and the other group was 1230 - ???. Sunday morning were exercises 11-17 and the test.
It was a well done course, instructors were great. The lead instructor was a female and the wife was very comfortable with her.
