Suzuki Blvd C50 Aftermarket Exhaust

I'm looking to replace the stock exhaust on my 2006 Suzuki Blvd C50 with an aftermarket one. I want a deep meaty rumble and similar look to the stock pipes. Does anyone have any experience/opinions on the Blvd C50 exhaust? Thanks for any feedback!

Hey, I've heard that you can drill the baffles out of your stock pipe to get a great sound. Try googling that first and seeing if it's too your liking. Very similar look the the stock

Also- please don't post the same thing in three different areas.

Hey, from another Ryan and former Volusia owner (01 version of your bike), drilling the baffles does quite a bit. I left mine completely stock but knew a few people who drilled out their pipes. It made quite a difference. Friend of mine has an 04 Volusia, and he's got Cobra drags on it. It literally hurts the ears, so I don't recommend them. Let us know what you do!

My Dad has a VL800 (same bike Wrider was talking about). He has V&H Straightshots on his bike. They sound good without being too loud. He got the bike with those pipes on, so I don't know how much louder they are than stock.

Remember that when you look at drilling out baffles or buying new pipes, you'll need to adjust your carb to compensate.

my 50 came with 3" hard krome big straits.

They sound absolutely lovely. Big grumbly gurgling type thing.

Of course they make your eyes bleed, your mother wet the bed, your brain collapse on itself, and may cause sterility.

Yeah. They're just a touch too loud.

Thanks for all the replies. I appreciate the information. Sorry for posting this in three different areas, but the first one I posted it in, I never got a response, so I thought that I'd try putting it in a few other places so as to get a response. Now I know which one to post in from now on.

Storysunfolding, thanks for the link to drilling out the baffles. I think I'm going to try that first, since I was planning on removing the stock pipes anyway, I might as well try and mess them up! Ha! Thanks so much!

One last question...What type of K&N filter do I need? Any one that will fit my bike or would any recommend a specific one? Thanks.

Let me pull a dave berry here.

Also, since your c-50 is fuel injected, not too much to worry about carbs

I'm not sure if it will adjust to this automatically or if you need the shop to tune it for you... anyone?
