I'd say, go with SILVER for the jacket.

It coordinates with both the bike and the helmet, without the complete "Crimson Rider" thing going on, which I think is way to far over the top fashion wise.

AND if if he can't find a red helmet when he needs to replace it, or if he gets a new bike, that isn't available in red, he won't have to deal with, "Now I gotta get new gear to match my bike."

However, if you insist on the red helmet, then you would be better off with the red jacket.
This is right on as is the comment on dirt showing.

That was going to be my suggestion. 100%.

The jacket will stand out from the bike but still blend right in. There is silver and black in both the helmet and bike so you'll be coordinated.

BTW, you don't have to be a "lady" to have some fashion sense, and being able to coordinate colors doesn't make someone more "ladylike."

True, but I was shooting for probabilities 8)

I'm not sure what I think about the silver. I've been told that it's a color that is much less noticable than the other three and since I commute, visibility is a priority (though that doesn't automatically mean yellow)

I think it will be at least as noticeable as red or blue.

Well, silver will be much more visible than any of the darker colors at night. From in front of you, all most drivers are gonna see is the front of your helmet which doesn't show much color, and your shoulders.

What about this combo?

This, Image with this: Image

on this color bike: Image

The jacket has reflective stripes across the shoulders.

OKay, now I have to open my undecisive mouth...

I said I did not like the Blue. Blue and red makes me think Superman and I'm just not a fan.

I like the red, but between the helmet and bike, he would have 3 different shades of red. I know men only see one shade of red, but more exist!

I like the yellow. It stands out and looks awesome. With the helmet and jacket on, it looked a little strange but I think it would look better when on the bike.

As far as silver....i don't know, it just didn't look so hot on him. It would definitely coordinate better, but it just didn't look as striking.

He has a black jacket which does look awesome, but he's wanting something different for a lighter weight jacket.

And white...that's what I have, it does look grungy, and i don't ride much.

I would have picked silver also, but he commented about the dirt showing. I think he has decided now anyway. Maybe he will come back and post a pic when he's got it all together.
