DH got the same comments from people at work when he rode the Vulcan in for the first time. It was mentally challenged! lol

I think spin's point, as said above, is to enjoy your ride, regardless of what it is.

For a new rider, its nice to be hearing more harmonious comments like 'way to go man, nice bike'. or 'how're you liking the ride?', rather than comments that are on the antagonistic side.

To non-riders, ALL cruisers are Harleys and EVERY sportbike is a Ninja.

Just face it though....

The nonriding public is just plain ignorant of the sport. I was getting ready to leave work not long ago, when this gentleman approached me and said how much he loved the colour scheme of my Harley...

Personally, I've never seen a "Harley" quite like it...

I'm sorry friends but unless you are riding a Honda you lose....

You might as well ask why would you ride a bike when there are cars...

It's a question with no thought about it and is usually guaranteed to start a fight but you know what?

I don't care what someone rides (as long as it isnt a scooter) as long as they ride!

For the recrod there are a number of Harleys I would like to won before the end of my bike career, however there are also a number of Ducatis that I'd like to own too and I like them for the same reason.

They speak to me.

But you're in Jersey. Get a Ural with a sidecar and ride in the snow!

Actually, I'd love a Ural. But their top speed is 60MPH and that just won't work on the highways of LA.....
