New Member! riding again after 25+ years!!!
Just purchased a 1992 750 Nighthawk.

Pics are on the above link....The bike was in mint condition. got it for $1,600.00, and only 5,900 miles on it.
Currently taking it in tomorrow for inspection, engine guards, backrest/carrier and clear sport shield and to get my tags.
This is my 5th or 6th bike....forgot over the years....I am planning on using this for weekend runs thru the counry side on Maryland's Eastern Shore. I'm not into commuting with it, it's bad enough in a Honda Civic...
The Baltimore/Washington traffic is terrible, only feel safe in my truck!!!

That's because you're on the MD side. People are alot more rationale on the Va side of DC.baltimorebayside wrote:The Baltimore/Washington traffic is terrible, only feel safe in my truck!!!
That's a fun bike- enjoy getting back into it. Have you considered the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's courses as a refresher?

Welcome back! I'm also recently re-acquired the addiction after a 20-plus-year layoff. I took the MSF course, and it really helped me (I'd pretty much forgotten everything). It's well worth the time, esp. if you're in a crowded environment.
That having been said, ride on, and have a great time!

Thanks for the warm welcome!!!
I haven't taken the Motorcycle Safety Course.....maybe I'll check into it...
This week I just (finally) got it inspected and my tags, so I went for a 20 miles ride on country roads..
Only saw 2 cars and they turned well behind me....
Still want to get my backrest/carrier installed and my engine guards on. I tried it myuself, but I ended up stripping the head on one of the engine mounts!!! OUCH!!!
I'll take it to a shop and let them do it......
