I am 25, ridden a bicycle oh 15 times, I can drive a stick shift car, and Im not very strong lol...and its not to much for me! I need a new regulator, it will cost under 100$. I get about 50mpg I believe. My insurance isnt to bad!
biker_mit wrote:Good evening folks.I started with XV535 Virago model of '95. I get about 100 miles on 2.3 U.S gal.The fstest I went on it was 98 mph but that was with the wind blowing from the back.
I don't have a windshield but ride in full face helmet. It's fund to ride but I am ready to move on to bigger bike.I have vulcan 1500 or 1600 in mind.
I am 27,male 200 lbs @ 6'Have a safe ride.
An experienced biker doesn't brag about how fast he's gone. As a new rider, doing 98 mph is not only unsafe but really stupid.
The 535 is a great learners bike. For a vtwin cruiser going up in displacement isn't nearly as big an issue compared to a sportbike where the jump from a 250 ninja to a 600 sportbike typically adds 2 cylinders and an additional 70 horsepower. I wouldn't go much further than where you are currently though because the 535 is in the sweetspot for learning to ride.

I had to test and see the limits of the bike.
And I did No bragging about it. Just had to let the man know it's powerful enough to go fast.
Calling others stupid on the other hand is not so smart neither for experienced nor for new rider .
it's better break the ground and head in to the wind then break the wind and head in to the ground

Good eye! I wouldnt have noticed...
And I have no idea why they are like that! His are upside down , not mine - neener neener.
