Well, you can't rush experience. That only comes with actually "doing" the activity.

Take the BRC and go from there. If your finances are not in line to buy a bike, I suggest waiting until they are rather than play random juggling games. But take BRC to get it under your belt so you know what yu're getting into as far as riding goes.

You'll only be frustrated and feel rushed if you try this bike rental thing to cram rides into time. Besides, what you spend on rentals could actually go into your savings pot for a bike you want.

Or you could just sell the HDTV

Take the basic rider course, then get yourself a bike and get some miles on the road.

*Then* take the experienced rider course.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

I'm trying to see if I can rent one, instead of buying one, because I have an HDTV to pay off and I can't get a bike this year, but I want to at least get some experience this year.

Renting for your first bike is a bad idea IMO. It's going to be really expensive, especially if or when you drop it. Renting a day here and a day there won't allow you to get very familiar with the bike.

If you can't afford a motorcycle (you can get decent bikes for under $2000 - mine was $800) and gear and accessories (tires, oil changes, etc) then you should wait until you can.

I took the MSF two years ago, I limited myself to back country roads and never got onto the state highway that's close by. Of course, I only had a 125 streetbike, so I didn't feel comfortable.

I'm taking the MSF again in July, only because I forgot most everything that I was taught.

i just took the msf course. i can tell you it is only needed once. at this point i am going to take my new bike i finance for $120 a month around the local roads to gain the rest of the experience i need for full traffic. Good luck on the class and I bet if you go look at the dealerships you will find a bike much more affordable than you thought. I waited for mine 5 years and realize i should have boughtit many moons ago.
