Name Omitted just knocked over your bike...
Eff i thought, so i got up and went outside to check the damage, and the bike was knocked over onto the curb so the engine and the right rear turn signal hit.
Well, i hope those fins on the engine are not too important cause i lost some good sized chunks of 3 of them and my right rear signal is all covered in smash. Also the top tip of the exhaust flare got a little scraped up.

The turn signals are not that big of a deal 14 bucks at most, and the exhaust was already scratched up on that side, so that wasnt a major loss. Luckily some dude gave me a 83 650 parts bike and i have a good cylinder block on that.. only problem is I called my mechanic and asked him how much that would cost to replace if i had the part and he said " Around $400 bucks labor.

The guy drove off before i got out there so i called the cops, and we filled out an accident report and we got in touch with the guy who hit me and he said that as long as its a couple hundred bucks he'd be cool with reimbursing me for the damage. Which is all it should cost, that is if the cylinder block on the parts bike is any good....
OR
I could put the money in my savings account toward saving up for a 599... that is if those fins aren't that important, also can i glue the fins back on? i figure i could sand them out so they are not crappy looking and epoxy them back in place and repaint that area?
Ideas?
