Police bike takes on SUV

#1 Unread post by JC Viper »

A police officer on a motorcycle was escorting a funeral line and an SUV attempts to cross instead of waiting for the procession to pass and the motorcycle slam the SUV and the SUV flipped over. The cop had broken bones and as usual the woman was only cited for her actions.

I dunno if there is a video yet, I just saw it on FOX 5 news in NY.

Wow, a bike makes an SUV flip....

Heavy bagger bike with low center of gravity vs. extremely top heavy suv... Oh yeah. I don't doubt it happened. I just did a quick search and couldn't find any video yet either.

Wow, that's amazing. She's probably on of those people who drive an SUV because they feel "safer".

If it's any consolation, the woman in the SUV will probably be punished by her insurance company, far beyond what the citations cost her. I'd expect her premium to triple for three years. Also, her SUV is probably totaled.

Both of those are still nothing compared to broken bones.

Flipped by a bike, that's priceless. I once saw a SUV flipped by a bus but that's more or less to be expected.

What kind of SUV? "SUV" is way over used. Trailblazer? Tahoe? Excursion? Expedition? Suburban? or was it a 'cute-ute' <-- hate that word. I could flip a cute-ute if I ran into it with my body weight

All I know is that it looked like a huge red SUV could've been a Ford... a boxy one.

The front of the bike was somewhat in tact but the lights were broken. The SUV looked like it was in good condition lying on its side. Maybe any FOX affiliates will have the video.

You need to start standing up for yourself :P Haha.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

That was on the local news here last night. It was a Honda Element, and the cop was leaned over turning when the impact occured. The front wheel of the bike got under the body of the SUV a bit. The Honda spun 90° and flipped right to it's side.
