motorcycle clubs

Back when I was driving my 4X4 cage, I was asked to join a club. Their idea of a ride was to go down some gravel roads and have a picnic...

I guess what I'm saying is, that not all clubs are everything for everybody. Go on a few rides, see what makes them tick, and see if you're willing to ride at their pace. The age group, riding style and organization skills of the ride organizers will make or break any club. Unless the best group in the country comes knocking at my door, I'll stick to riding with friends, (old and new) as well as going for the odd toy run, etc...

I consider the small group of tried and true riders I've been with for years as close to a "club" as I would ever want to be. Just isn't my cup 'o tea to be a joiner, I guess. As for big group rides, you are welcome to 'em, I just consider them a specially prepared stage for catastrophe. No thanks to clubs. But y'all enjoy, now.
