rumor around the water cooler is that the V-Strom 1000 won't be in the 2008 lineup

If that's the case, I'd like to know then what they are planning to do with the new revised 2007 V-strom 1000 engine. Will it appear in a standard? A sportbike? Another Dual sport? I can't see Suzuki scraping it after 1 year of revising it.

Last year Suzuki said the Katana's (600 and 750) were not going to be in the 2007 lineup, but they appeared, however, I've heard they are gone for 2008.
