Well I'll just take advantage of this opportunity and post a picture of my sweet little chihuahua mix Teddy.
He can beat up Paris Hiltons dog.

Hmmm..... another A.R.D!! (Annoying Rat Dog). Got one of 'em in my house right now, my step-daughter is living with us temporarily and she brought along "Pixel." Maybe if I'm lucky, DoofyDawg (Cody, the 110lb German Shepherd) will sit on her!!

I've been trying to convince my 16lb tomcat Solo that Chihuahua tastes just like chicken......

I'm sort of across the river from you, need a hitman to take out that rat of a dog?? (Idea from the Seinfeld episode where Elaine goes to Newman)

Down in Texas you can run over rabbits but you have to watch out for the Jackalopes, their horns get caught in your spokes.

We were instructed to NOT brake/swerve for "squishables" ie, cats, squirrels, racoons, etc.

Though I think I'd have a tough time, NOT swerving for a pet.

Now, if it were a dog CHASING me...

I think it depends on the circumstances (mostly speed and road conditions). When a squishable object jumps into my path, I can often get in enough braking to allow it to get by on one side or another. The one thing I won't do is continue to brake. When the point comes where impact is inevitable, it's off the brakes and straight ahead.

Swerving I rarely do. If you happen to be leaned even just a little bit, and still impact the squishable, you're toast.
