You'd think it was, but in terms of motorcycles it seems like the standard. Think Harley for a moment. The keep making bikes that look like they are 50 or 60 years old, but with EFI, ABS, throttle by wire, and etc. That is modern, yet still classic.slimcolo wrote:Cool bike , but isn't Modern Classic an oxymoron?
True, but would you really want an "old classic"? The way I see it these "modern classics" combine the best of both worlds. To me, the essence of motorcycles are the old Brit bikes but they where by-and-large high maintnance. The most exhilarating bike to ride I've owned was a Norton Commando but it was like an F14 fighter, one hour of riding and 30 hours of maintenance. I've never seen a modern bike with an oil leak, something I can't say for the classics.slimcolo wrote:I can only think of three bikes that are true enough to their original form to be classic. (Dpner,Ural, and Royal Enfield) Regardless of what they call them.
