New Rider
New Rider
Hello to all from southeast Oklahoma! I've been perusing this forum for about 2 months and very impressed with the quality of this forum. Now a little about me. I've rode my brother's bikes over the years and have always wanted my own special boy toy. So last August ( Friday 13th to be exact) 2004 I purchased a new starter bike, a 2004 Yamaha Virago- 250 cc. A few months ago I passed the written and driving test and hope to take the MSF. So far I've been on 3 group rides and have enjoyed the friendship and have met new friends this way. There's nothing like having your own bike to ride. I'm middle aged. 52 y/o and this is my very first bike to own. Thanks and talk to ya'll later

Hi FreeRide!
A warm
to the friendly Total Motorcycle forum community to ya!
Glad you decided to join in on the fun and introduce yourself.
I'm also sure many forum members are smiling with your great complement to them. Complements are a great way to start off.. haha
From the sounds of it, you are really enjoying your Virago 250. The 250 Virago makes a great starter bike and one you will really advance your skills on quicky over a bigger sized bike (as it is very confidence inspiring). Good choice!
I'm sure you have some great stories to tell, and I'm looking forward to reading them.

Have fun and enjoy the community!
Mike.

Thanks for the invite. I plan to take a ride here in Southeastern Ok. with my riding friends. We're planning ahead for this coming fall. The ride is going to be a spectacular one. We'll be traveling to a place on the map called Talimena Drive which is a scenic 54 mi. long ride through the Winding Stairs mts. and is in the high elevations of these mts. w/scenic overlooks all throughout the way whic ends in Mena,Ark.
That will be a ride to remember!
