I apologise for the largeness of the photos I know there is no way I can resize them, I do not know how. This progree was years in the making :) . I will be willing to try.
Do you have some sort of basic picture program in your computer...such as Windows Picture manager that may have come with your software? If not you can download Picasa from Google for free.

If you already have Windows Picture manager.....open up a photo...go to edit....go to resize...and then click on the 768x1024 size. It will load well.

thats the long hard way to resize pictures.

goto
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/down ... rtoys.mspx
download and install Imageresizer.exe

then all you have to do is right click the picture go down to resize (I think its the 3rd option down the list) then click on 1024x768 when it loads. It will save a COPY of the picture as a smaller version. (dont do 768x1024 unless you want it HIGHLY distorted). There are some other settings in there you can mess with that are self explanatory. This isnt the best program but its the easiest for beginners to use.

oh and blues I would go with a 24" widescreen like Dells top o da line one that is like $699 I believe. You dont do any gaming do you?

Blues

I can attest to the Dell 24" monitors. I use those at work with all the windows we need to have open at times, we need 'em. But, they are nice.

My husband has the Dell 21" monitor and it is plenty big for home. If you can have the 24" Dell sitting back on you desk a little, then it will work well. Otherwise, it could be a little over powering  but that's my take on it.

Remember how they measure those screens is from corner to corner not straight across....found that out the hard way..... :frusty:

you mean corner to corner of the screen not including the framing around the screen  oh and my wife has a 19" and I think its too small. Then again when you get used to gaming and using your 55" sony sxrd as a computer monitor I guess just about anything smaller than 55" will look small :D.

Yeah, ya thinK??

Good grief, you and my hubby. 55" is pretty scookum, that's for sure!

So, I guess it is all relative and yep, corner to corner not including the framing....at least I got THAT part right.... ;)

The problem came when I ordered a privacy screen for work :oops!: :groan: but we are using them anyway, covers MOST of the screen.....

Sorry for the hijack....

No...I don't do any gaming. The screen I have will do for now. I like it. It's not quite 2 years old so it will have to wait until I move up to a new system.

Well...in that case.....I have been doing a lot of work on photographs in my computer. Learning the photoshop stuff, etc....but I have a problem getting my photos to print how I want them. I can't get an even border all around or even a no border print. And then sometimes there is a part of the image cut off.

When I am strong enough to ride again, I will be spending far less time on the computer....then I will be posting pics of my adventures like in my blog.

Okay, I'm curious..if you don't mind me asking, what happened that you cannot ride?
