SQUIDS

#1 Unread post by crazypj »

I did a search for squid or squids and didnt find anything like this so thought I'd start a new thread.
Has anyone read the definition on Wikipedia?
heres link. Its actually quite funny, particularly the last paragraph

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squid_(motorcycle)

Dont start flaming, this is supposed to be experienced forum, the possibility of gore is something we live with and ignore

I've never heard of an EMT calling them squids like it suggests. Organ Donors, yes.

Am I still a squid for doing wheelies in full gear? :peep:

If that were true, a large percentage of sportbikers would be squids!

Depends when and where you do them. The jackass that rode his rear wheel down Steveston Highway almost running into a stopped line of traffic would in my humble opinion deserve the term Squid.....silly bugger actual dropped his bike trying to stop....had to be towed away, he limped away, after having to explain himself to the local Queen's Cowboy who gave him a nice piece of paper as a memento. Made for an interesting smoke break from my desk.
Always ask why.

Oh yeah I forgot about that. I've never done a wheelie where there were cars around... I'm too paranoid that I'll get pulled over.

I do it on roads in the middle of nowhere usually where there are absolutely no cars.

somewhere like here....

Nope. Only if you skip second gear (anyone?) to shift to full gear (anyone else?).

Hard to say. Now the guy who found out that the new busa will burn out through 3rd gear and can wheelie up to 150 mph... that's a squid
