Damn straight. We got hit by a major storm two days ago, it dumped 30cm of the white stuff. This was on top of the 10cm or so that was already there.

You know, I could use some more ballast in the sidecar...

I will inform "Ms. Ballast" of this "riding opportunity"....... I'll also point out that the path to Gananoque involves only a modest detour to pass by Adirondack Ural in Chestertown on the way up......

It's funny, she's on IMZ's e-mail list and got a notice from them for the Cycleworld show in NYC on the 28th-30th. She sent it to me at work, guess she wants to go.......

i do until the ice forms on the road. i went douwn yesterday and bought a hjc full face, helmet... the beenie style helmet and skull-face bandana just wasnt working....

I don't know... this 65 F and sunny weather has many dangerous hidden road conditions such as hidden black ice, penguins, and the occasional blizzard.

I get the chill in two places, wrists and neck. The full face helmet is brilliant, although it's the first one I've had. The open face was always sliding back off my head!

We have ice here now, but as soon as it clears I'm out there.

I would be up and out if both my bikes weren't playing silly buggers. One has electrical problems, the other is well... er... smashed (black ice).

In this weather, a good base layer helps, as well as windproof tops and plenty of layers in between. Good boots and thermal socks, good outer and inner gloves also required. A neck tube is essential - and a desire to be out on the bike.

Didn't you used to live in Wisconsin, or some such frozen place?? You should be nicer to us Cold People!!!

I actually rode to work this morning - first time this month, I think. Got here about 20 minutes ago, my toes are still thawing out!!!
