Same here, it was 68 yesterday. With all of this "global warming" you really don't need to put your bike away for the winter any more.

I've got a new R6 and I cant let it be a garage ornament. I've been out in as low as 22 degrees so far, but the ice and snow is freaking scary. When there is ice, it's not even fun to ride. It's just nerve racking. I bought a killer Technic jacket, and just ordered a set of heated gloves, all I need now is something to keep my toes from freezing off, and there will be nothing stopping me. Except that damn ice.

We have had a cold snap here and my new (to me) Kwaki isn't getting enough use. I go out on it every four days or so, but I'm chilled to the bone for a whole day afterwards! I guess this is because I'm an old guy, maybe.

Any of you folks in the cold zones still taking bikes out? I'm spending my time looking at weather forecasts and reading bike mags! LOL

Just as soon as I pick up my Ural I will be riding until it gets down to 0 Fahrenheit snow or no snow.

Sunny and 70 again today in the OC. Gonna be the same tomorrow. Think I'll ride down to San Diego and then maybe out to the desert.

Still riding and its only 35F. The only part that freezes is the tips of my fingers, so I stop at stores along the way to work and en route home to thaw them out. Was caught holding my hands over the hot
food counter in a store yesterday to defrost- i bought a can of hot chocolate as makepeace and held it till my hands thawed and then I was off back on the bike

Never been beaten yet by the British weather. But then, being carless I have little choice.

Hands are the worst thing. I have wondered on a couple of occasions if I was going to leave my fingers in the gloves when I got them off.

But there is a great emergency remedy for frozen finger: toilet tissue from a service station lavvy! Wind it round your fingers before putting your gloves back on. Believe me: it works VERY well!

Don't knock it! Sufficient pain is the mother of all kinds of invention.

(It's a bit fiddly getting it on, I'll admit, so the moral is, do it before your hands get too cold to cope.)

It has been a bit too cold for me to ride in the last couple of days. I think we should hit mid 50's tomorrow so I think I will take a bit of a ride.

Same here. We have a mild spell again and I'm out there biking. One thing; here in the West country (on the coast) we are getting high winds each winter and the cross winds can be very strong on exposed motorway stretches. I've noticed that a lot since getting back into the bike scene.

I've been using my old trick of hiding behind lorries for shelter, but I'm sure that some people here will tell me that I am a complete fool to do it. You don't have to get too close, just into the slipstream.

Used to do that all the time when I was back on 125cc bikes. Amazing how much better your fuel economy is drafting lorries down the dual carriageways.
