I still never said that Linux is terrible.

If I thought Linux were terrible, I wouldn't use it on production machines on a daily basis.

Your cracking me up!

Should I include neXt users? What about OS/2?

Dude, I've quoted you saying EXACTLY that. Do I need to reference the original post so you can see yourself?

Its apparent you still don't get it. I don't care, AT ALL, if you don't want to promote linux, or whatever. What I DO care about is if you make statements that only serve to keep people from trying. You, without a doubt, very clearly, unarguably, did exactly that. That is the crux of the problem!

I said "Linux is TERRIBLE for typical computer users." I did not say "Linux is terrible." I've said that Linux is great in some applications and that it's poor in some applications. I did not make any blanket statements as you imply.

"What I DO care about is if you make statements that only serve to keep people from trying."

Your only objective here is to promote the spread of Linux by encouraging people to try it, no matter how useful or appropriate Linux is for them.

You're just an idiot Linux fanboy troll looking for a fight. I'm not going to play anymore. Those of us more reasonable people who realize that different tools are appropriate for different jobs will get on with our lives.

Your right man, lets just stop, since your idea of a conversation is to reiterate the same point over and over again, despite facts.

If you want to stoop to calling me an "idiot fanboy" its no problem for me. I am fully aware of my stance on the OS debate, and what the right tool is for each job. I am also fully aware that I am unwilling to make unfounded, false, fear/uncertainty/doubt filled statements that serve no purpose. I offer a choice, you offer FUD.

I'm gonna go work on my bike.

What I DO care about is if you make statements that only serve to keep people from trying.
His statements haven't kept me personally from tying Linux.
I doubt his statements will keep anyone else from trying it either.

Your statements haven't made me want to try Linux either and
I doubt your statements will make anyone else try it.

I think the people will try if they want to and won't if they don't regardless of what a couple of overexcited yahoos on TMW say about it.

personally I haven't tried it because Idon'tfukinwantto.
Wow, I thought for myself. How bout that. Didn't even need a gibberish OS/2QNXcommandlineC/:prompt.exe talking computer guru/fanboy or what the hell ever tellin me what is best!

Hear, hear. Like I said earlier- let the people think for themselves.

Okay, to tone away from the firefight, I'm going to post this. It's a good introduction as to how Linux is different from Windows:
