If you already got an answer for this I apologize, I stopped reading after the first page. But, try this place for gear for your son......

http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/

I know they have some great deals, and when I ordered my jacket it arrived in 4 days. Good luck..

Sure hope the little guy gets better really quick, and with full use of that finger. Have a safe trip yourself...

It doesn't matter how many kids you have, etc.

The point of statement was that you came across as a moron that would rather save some money and put his son at risk that make the smarter decision. If money's an issue and you can't afford a rental car or gas for your van without bitching about it, maybe you should give up the motorcycle hobby for awhile, because it can become quite expensive.

It seems common sense, which many parents (including yourself apparently) lack, should let you know "hey, this is a bad idea."

Maybe you're just too bullheaded and full of yourself to care?

And I notice that you didn't reply to anything I said about your lack of riding experience or his. Interesting.

Hope the little dude's finger doesn't give him too much trouble and he gets well soon. Maybe it's some higher power saying "see? those people on the TM Forum tried to get through to you, but if that isn't working, let's try this....."
Either that or you're too immature and embarrased (judging by your name calling in earlier replies) to admit on an internet board that you changed your mind because you were on the verge of making a very poor decision? Who knows.

Google is a wonderful invention. If you can't take other people's opinions without getting offended and calling people names maybe you should give it a try some time. I found what you were looking for inside of 2 minutes, and didn't get offended at all in the process. But again that's a common sense issue.
Later.
