Paint Removal - Kawasaki 650

Hey gang-
I recently purchased a Kawasaki w650 and the previous owner had someone professionally paint a line of text on the gas tank.

It is not clear coated, and appears as though it would come off fairly easily, but i dont want to take to it and risk scratching the tank / tearing it up.

but i've got to get this name off the tank, it's seriously killing the look of this sweet bike!

any ideas or suggestions?

Take it to a detail/paint shop. Chances are even if you find the right procedure, you won't do it right. No offense.
