I have no idea how many really. I can't remember how many bikes even. A lot. Started at 13 yrs old and I am 56 now. Sometimes I will have 3 or 4 bikes in a year. Have toured pretty much all of Canada and the States. Rode in competition when I was younger. I voted plus 100,000 but I guess it is likely much higher. I think one year I did around 40,000. Lots of touring that year.

I've only ridden about 6-7000 miles since last July of '07. Haven't drop a bike yet!

Wow, it's too bad you sold the little V30, I always liked those bikes and heard they have really decent power for the motor size/HP. Fairly rare model of the Magna generation as well, so why didn't you sell it to me?!!?

I sold the magna when my arm wasn't working (story in my blog). It needed a new head gasket so I took it to a local shop. Two weeks later I go to pick it up and the motor won't start. Their claim, it wasn't running when I brought it in. My claim- I rode it there and it started before they started repairs.

They wanted $500 for all the work they did on the bike including the new head gasket but whatever they did fubared the motor :frusty:

In poll, are these total miles or just total miles on particular bike?

How was it riding the blue ridge Pkwy? I was in Asheville a couple years ago and drove it in my car alot. I took it to Smokey Mountian Nat'l park (I think twice) I saw a lot of bikers on the pkwy and all seemed to be enjoyiong it. How was your experience there? I would like to do that someday (along with the Pacific Coast Highway)

It was fun. Lots of great roads leading up to the pkwy. Great hikes, cheap campsites and since it was 95 in DC when I left- much cooler!

Total Miles for a this-year noob

#30 Unread post by RhadamYgg »

Well, I haven't logged nearly as many miles as most on this site - even some who have ridden more in the past two weeks than my two months!

1800 miles. Probably more than half is commuting (64 or more miles a day).

My miles will go up faster when I start commuting to Yonkers instead of the Bronx.
