. . . and I figure, if I ask an opinion on R1150R.com (or something similar), obviously they'll say "Go for it!" (although I'll ask 'em anyway too).

I figure this is an inherently less biased site and there must be more than a few people on it who've had this bike (or a Beemer with the same engine and drivetrain). How'd you find it? Any specific afflictions of this model? An inquiring mind wants to know :)

Just kidding. It's a nice bike and I'm sure you will like it. Beemers are known for their quality and reliability, but you already knew that. The way I see it, if something makes your heart beat faster then you should pursue it until it is yours. This advice works for everything in life, btw, be it bikes, love, suicide chicken wings or whatever.

Almost got one instead of my strom... but they put the strom on sale for half the price.
