I think that it was a screw up. the law is about products containing too much lead being sold to the young age group. The engine components on these bikes are over the limit allowed for lead content, so they, for now, can't be sold. I don't think is was a intentional attack on kids bike and 4 wheelers. Just a case of the politicians not knowing what the hell they are doing. I think the motor companies will figure out a way around the whole mess. looks like many of the smaller displacement bikes will be dissapearing- check check out the Metric Comp. websites and you'll notice the smaller bikes are gone
