Honda CBR125's

#1 Unread post by Fargo360 »

I was at the Honda dealer today having a couple of gaskets cut, so I took a look around while I was waiting. I went over to the sport bikes and saw three brand new CBR125's. I had to do a double take. I said to the sales guy, "I thought you can't get these in the US." He said, "You can't, we went to Canada and brought them back, technically we have to sell them as used." For only $3500 I'd buy one if I had the money. Sweet little bikes, had them in White, Red, Black. Anyone think I could buy one without my wife knowing?

2008 Honda CBR are 2999 and if you get them part of the Go Combo you can get the bike , all your gear except the helmet for 3500 Canadian.

$3500?

I've seen new ones in the dealership for $2800 Canadian. Used ones range from $2200-3000 (some people don't quite get the term 'depreciation') with less than 1000 miles on them.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

They are new, the only miles they have on them I would imagine are rolling them from trailer to trailer. I would guess the higher price was from having to buy them from a dealer in Canada, then having to pay import tarriffs at the border, and still make a little bit of $$$.

I'd love to have one just to run around town, and maybe as a track bike. I'm of the opinion that the manufacturers are missing out on sales by not making more small displacement bikes available in the States.

CBR125R9

If it is highwayable/commutable... I'd probably buy it in a second. I can only imagine it has sporty ride and gets incredible gas mileage.

I'd have to get rid of the B-King, though...

Well, if I can get the 360 running well enough to sell it, and sell my old car, I might pick on up to ride while I'm working on my next project...'77 CB750K7.

I wonder if you can register them for street use. Selling them is one thing. If they are only ridden on the track I could see where it would be a-ok.

But registered for street use I suspect is another thing altogether.
