Victory Cross Country

#1 Unread post by Gummiente »

Had some time to kill before going to an appointment today, so I wandered in to the local Victory dealer to see if they had one of the new Cross Country touring models on the floor. Well, they did but it was already sold so I couldn't sit on it. So I chatted with the sales guy and compared it to the new Vision that was parked beside it. The cross Country comes out way ahead in terms of looks and functionality, IMO, but that's a topic for a whole other thread. Anyway, I was impressed with the CC and surprised to learn that it comes with a radio and cruise control for $20k. Clearly, this one is aimed right at the potential Harley Street Glide buyer. Fit and finish is very good, Victory really has a grip on things when it comes to that. There are a lot of accessories available for it already, both from Victory and the aftermaket, so it wouldn't be hard to personalise one to suit my tastes.

I asked how it compares to a bike like my Road Glide and his answer was to come to the demo ride day they're hosting in April and find out for myself. I think I'm going to do just that.

+1. Not my style. Unfortunately the colour choices are very limited; the pseudo-badass skull scheme, the standard black or a wine red.

Wine red's not a bad color. I wouldn't mind seeing that bike in wine red.
