Old geezer, new-ish biker and online shop owner needs advice

#1 Unread post by papaloi »

Hi Guy's,

Glad to be here and only weeks away from the big 50 glad to be anywhere!
I'm down here on Englands beautiful south coast and need to get as many motorbike statistics as I can. Who's buying what, age of the person, where the little tinkers are living etc, etc. :frusty: Any idea where I can get hold of this sort of info? The 'net'! Been doing so much typing lately making my fingers sore the missus is talking divorce

Looking forward to talking to you guys in the future.

Cheers

Papaloi

A warm welcome to you Papaloi! Welcome to the friendlist motorcycle community on the 'net. :D Glad you found us.

We definately have a lot of wise people here to help you out. If you can be more specific then our answer will be more specific too.

In general it all depends on how "young a 50 year old" you are and what style of riding you like to do, length and bike experience. Most 50's go for comfortable bikes, big scoots or standards, at 50 it's harder to get on a crotch rocket. :)

The weather is getting much nicer this past week in Suthern England, I hope you have been out riding for a short bit.

Cheers.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm nearly 50 going on 21! I don't know about a mid-life crisis or a second childhood I'm none too sure I'm out of my first, Ha, Ha  . I'm very close to openning a new online store selling all sorts of giftware and clothing but obviously I need funding and have the dreaded business plan to write, so basically I need any information that will help me complete this plan.

Hope to get some info soon.

Cheers

Welcome Ray,

What part of South England you from? I'm originally from Seaford Sussex.
Always ask why.

Best of luck too, the UK economy isn't the best right now but there is always room for ideas. :D

Brighton is nice, went there last summer for the day and had a fun time at the Pier.
