Damn, I could have afforded that bike, but not the extras!
is that why you sold the B king? you couldn't afford it? and why didn't you sell it to me?! :D

I sold the B-King because - when it comes down to it, there is a way you expect a bike to handle and feel - and me and the B-King didn't match up. Expensive lesson. I could have easily been on a new FZ6, Versys, Ninja 500, etc... or for that matter, CBR600RR, even a liter bike would have felt a lot more like what I wanted than the B-King.

I can safely say, that sitting on a bike is helpful, but the most helpful thing would be to ride a tester bike for some miles - rent it for a week or something and then decide if it turns the way you want it to, behaves the way you want it to. There were certain things I really liked about that bike, but in the end, you really have to hit the comfort level on as many points as possible on the bike you really *want* to keep.

The only thing I don't like about the FZ6 so far is that it feels light on the front wheel when I'm at really slow speeds. Oh, and I do miss the acceleration on the B-King. Now I have to work my "O Ring" off to move from the tolls and it still is only a percentage of the speed I'd do on the B-King. And I do only ride relatively conservatively. Someone with talent could probably have made the B-King rock.

In the long run, it was worth it as it made you discover what you really wanted in a bike. :)

Life is too short to ride a bike you don't really like when you could be riding one that you love.

Nah, it a little bit of a lower end bike, so the front forks are not adjustable - only the rear. It is only at speeds < 5 mph - and the funny thing as you cross the 5 mph speed going down the speedo says zero mph.

Probably has more to do with the front end of the FZ being a lot lighter than the B-king, possibly a difference in riding position too. Not sure if the B-king is like other suzuki standards, my bandit had a distinctly more aggressive riding position than a FZ6 (FZ6s are about as close to bolt upright as you get on a standard anymore). I got so used to the semi-aggressive riding position on suzuki standards that an FZ6 feels too upright for me now

I can't say I really noticed much of a difference in seating position, but it may be - with a more aggressive seating position I'd have more weight on the handlebars and wouldn't feel it be so light in slow speed maneuvers.

Keep thinking things would be cool on a S1000RR, though. :) Keep seeing it in all the bags, the rat bastards.
