Can I get motorcycle drivers license
Can I get motorcycle drivers license in different state than my car license? My permanent home is in Virginia where I acquired my car driver's license. However I go to school in North Carolina and would like to get my motorcycle driver's license. Can I take the safety course and examination in North Carolina and acquire the license and still be able to drive my motorcycle in Virginia?

In a word, no. You have to get your license in the state you live in.

You can switch your license to NC then switch back when you come home. Otherwise head back to Va for a weekend and take the safety course. Richmond has a two day class on sat/sunday though I'm sure there's a spot closer to the border
