It's kinda sad that it doesn't have a kickstarter. Other than that I like it.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

I wonder if you could fit one on it... although kicking over an almost 900cc twin might not be the easist. I had a kick start on my 1978 GS550 inline-4 and it was indeed a lot of fun, but required some body weight to do. (like the force of putting a bike on it's centre stand).

No. It's not. Not sad at all. Hinckley Bonne's are cold-blooded as heck. Trying to start one on a 45 degree morning the old-fashioned way would be........ <<unprintable in a family forum!!!>>

Cold blooded? Argh. I had a cold blooded bike before (and in Canada, that's not fun)... hard to start when it was under +10°C, sometimes I had to clean and pull the plugs to get it started in the cold...argh.

I'm sure the Bonne isn't that bad right? (please say no).

Welllll...... I last started mine the weekend before Christmas. It was about 40F. I pushed it from the back shed around to the garage where it's warmer and there's electricity. I put a space heater right under it on high for 45 minutes. And it started. On the fifth try....

They have a rep for being cold-blooded.

Now, this is the carb'd '05 in my avatar. I expect the new FI models are better.

I've only owned 1 FI bike, my 07 V-Strom, and had 6 other carb'd bikes. The Honda's did best in the cold, always started on their 1st try, even if left for a few weeks. 2 tries if left over the winter in a garage. The carb'd Suzuki was a PITA, so was the Yamaha. The FI Suzuki, no issues... thank goodness for FI and cold weather.

On the UK bikes here, the 01 carb'd Kawasaki is cold blooded, the 02 carb'd Suzuki is much better and starts on 2nd go in the cold.

The Bonne you have is sure nice, I am going to take out a T100 this spring here and see what they are like.
