Shopping huh, ya well, no fine, must be getting better, nothing like a quiet jaunt around a shopping mall for fitness you know. Gets the heart rate up, exercises the whole body and boosts the economy.

Bliiuurrrgggh
Actually...we weren't in a mall....we were walking the whole downtown area shop to shop...outside....bookstores, consignment stores, chocolate shops, (my friend has an obsession with chocolate...me...I don't eat very much chocolate...) Next day she had to work....I walked to downtown and to the harbour. I enjoyed a special coffee while sitting enjoying a busker playing his blues band....one man band....he was great....
I walked through the grounds of the governor general's mansion, walked along the beach....I took the bus home.

I also discovered a motorcycle/scooter rental place. I was tempted, but I need to watch my spending.....They had a nice 2006 Honda 1300cc Cruiser for sale......

I'm heading back home later today....taking the bus to the ferry....I'll transfer my travel things into my bike bag.....and if the weather holds, I'll go for a ride into the interior to visit my brother.

I had the bike serviced last Friday...the 6,000km service just a few hundred km early in anticipation of my little road trip. I may as well take advantage of the fresh oil and filter while the roads are dry.

I walked so much over the last few days that my feet were feeling tired....I went for a pedicure late yesterday afternoon....then I walked to the bus a few blocks away and came back to the house.

I need to go home and deal with some of my own things...nothing will get done if I stay over on the island. I'l spend a day at home and then go.......the open road is calling..... :D

I need help to figure out what the band is that did the song in my slide show. I thought it was LoneStar but I can't find it anywhere.

Does anyone know the name of the band?

Ok usually I'm REALLY good at finding out what a song is called based off of it's lyrics. Good job through, you used a song that none of the 5 biggest lyrics databases on the internet have ANY idea what you're talking about! haha
EDIT: Just tried to find it using a program that listens to the song and compares it to millions of samples in it's library, and NOTHING... haha

I don't think the song really exists, it's a figment of our imaginations... :o)

Wrider, thanks for trying. I can't remember where I go that song and all my CD's are packed and in the storage locker right now.

I would have had it in my computer to put it in the slide show.....but it's not here now.... :dunno:

That is a GREAT video! "Young At Heart", wonderful song choice for the photos and riding memories! Makes me want to go out and ride right now. :D

Great song, I tried to find it as well using the Lyrics (found one by William Tell but it wasn't it)... I did find this:

January 25, 2010.

It has been 3 and 3/4 years sine my motorcycle crash. The mediation was today. It is finally over. I can now get on with my life and not worry about being followed and videotaped.
It is a relief to have my case settled and not have it hanging over my head anymore.

I hope I never have to go through anything like it again. I must say....the opposition lawyer is a slimy lying manipulative o-ring. I got to read his mediation brief....he put in things that were not true. He made things up. They tried to assess me for %50 of the liablity....even though the bonehead who caused the crash was deemed %100 at fault by 2 insurance companies and the police. I made them back off on that....and the offer went up a bit.....then they tried to claim there was no impact...that my bike "just tipped over"...when I got through telling them the "real" story...the offer went up a bit again....
and so it went from 9AM until 4PM......
By the end of the day we were all tired, but satisfied from a job well done.

I get to keep my clean driving record because my lawyer made them write a letter as part of the settlement deal. I get some cash and can now afford to keep up with physio therapy and massage therapy treatments.

I can now also buy a new car. Yippee! My current car is 17 years old. I have been driving it for 14 years. (When I'm not riding, that is).....

The next thing I need to do is find a place to live...a place where I can bring my motorcycle back to me. Where I am renting temporarily there is no room in the garage for my bike. I do not want it parked outdoors all winter so it is being lovingly looked after at my boyfriend's place in his garage beside his bike. He goes to his garage and checks the kids daily.

I have 2 weeks vacation time coming up in April. I would like to do something or go somewhere....I have done very little over the last several years.

Honestly if I had a choice....I'd rather go back to having a pain free lifestyle than the money......but it symbolizes that I was wronged and had damage done to me and that the bonehead who did this will have his insurance rates go way up.

I have done a 4 test drives so far. Next week I will go look a few more vehicles before I make my final decision. If my history is anything to go by....I'll be drivng my next vehicle for at least ten years.

I don't think I can afford to buy a house and I sure don't feel inclined to get back into a strata situation.....I'm quite happy being a renter for a while. No worries and no responsibilities.....
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<********>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I had a bad dream last night. It woke me up. It had some kind of big mansion that was blue with lots of windows. The town said they thought it was haunted. I saw the ghosts. The ghosts were trying to pretend they were real people and were very harmful. I recognized some faces, but they were actually ghosts. We fought and I think I killed some. After I woke up, I got out of bed and went for a glass of water....I went back to bed and to sleep and it was like part 2 of the dream, more ghosts, more battles.....It was a very challenging dream....I wonder what a dream analyist would make of that....I suspect it had to do with the crash, the lawyers, the case....

Perhaps tonight will be a sound peaceful sleep. Good night. :)

Thanks. The next 2 nights were dreamless. I expect that once the cheque has been deposited into my account I will continue to experience a "lightness" of being. I won't have to keep looking over my shoulder to see if I am being followed and watched.
That was happening for a while. It was quite nervewracking.

Now I just need to work on finding my next place to live so I can have my bike with me. It will be nice to go for a ride when I feel like it.
