And by the way the people that originally reported that the Mayan calendar ends in 2012 have changed their story to say it passed in 2009 sometime.
Either way my opinion is that the Mayans were 3000 years ahead of themselves, said "screw it, I'm bored, and we've got 3000 years to work on this crap some more, let's go fishing!".

paul parker's account has been terminated due to spamming... but what an interesting topic, I thought I'd keep it because Wrider had a good response.

I wanna go fishing.

End of the world in 2012? Meh. I don't see any gigantic asteroids coming towards earth so I think we can make it another year or so. That is if Justin Beiber doesn't cause mass suicides.

Nah that would have happened with the Backstreet Boys if it was gonna happen.

I wanna go fishing too! But there's no open water and the ice isn't thick enough for ice fishing... This sucks.

Seems that every few years everybody gets into a panic over some Nostradamus/Mayan/Bible/etc prediction about the end of the world. Anyone remember all the hype and drama about the year 2000 when the world was supposed to grind to a halt becuase all the computers would go into Rain Man mode?

Screw it. I'm gonna keep on living as long as I can. But I will keep a bottle of Jack Daniels and a fine Cuban cigar close by at all times, just in case one of these doom prophecies come true. It would be a nicer, calmer way to go with a puff and a swig rather than running around in a blind panic like the rest of the world.

It's true folks - it's all over next year. The only sensible thing that you should really do now is donate your bike to a needy motorcycle forum moderator in hopes that it will buy you some credit with the almighty creator when the asteroid hits.

Fine, but do you have the full frontal lobotomy yet? Or the "TMW Forever, Forever TMW" tattoo on your manhood?

Geezus man! I guess I'll have to get the labotomy I'm not sure I have enough room for the tattoo. Couldn't I just be helpful to the community and blast some spam?
