Re: What did you do today...
Ah $#@$, well that kills that idea then. As you know I really like the Bonnie, but if she is that cold a runner then... Maybe Canada can convince the USA to trade some cold land for some warm land?jstark47 wrote:Temps got up to almost 40 (fahrenheit)... But getting the Bonneville started was a major production (ya listening, Totalmotorcycle Mike?) Involved pushing it from the storage building around to the garage, putting a space heater directly under it for 90 minutes, then cranking and cranking and cranking..... Bike does NOT like cold weather. Felt great to ride.

I rode last week on my ZR7F, it started up really cold (6 cranks, drained the battery, a recharge and it went), it was about +5°C... I couldn't get it running this morning though to go out for a quick ride (+7°C here)... guess I'll have to wait till it's +11 again...
I saw flowers in full bloom yesterday here and April daff's comming up in the grass.V4max wrote:I'm envious of you guys that are starting to see signs of spring. Here it is snowing again/still. My bikes are still under cover hibernating for at least another 6 weeks or so
Thanks Hondagirl, I took that one.Hondagirl wrote:Sunshine ...those are incredible pictures thanks for sharing them, especially the Big Ben shot! Did you zoom in a lot for that pic or were you able to get up very close without being arrested lol?

Just till the end of September. Then back to Canada eh!blues2cruise wrote:Great shots. How long will you be living in GB?

Hi Mike
OK. I conclude that you are either an optimist or are as yet not fully experienced in the ways of the British weather. At a guess, I'd say both.

The winter ain't over till the dice stop rolling, and that won't be till the end of March or sometimes beyond.
Moral: when in the UK make the best use of good weather while it is here. It may not last. On the other hand, of course, it may... And then again...!
Cheers
Richard

Re: What did you do today...
I spent the day decorating out my big spare bedroom. I've taken a lodger. His mum rang me up in a panic two weeks ago. His landlord was selling up and wanted him out. He's a nice lad, and he also has a dog! How could I say, no? He is a builder by trade and a hard worker by temperament, but he's about to have a change of career. He's been re-training as a carer. Versatile, eh!
Anyhow, I am covered in wallpaper paste, so need to go and sort myself out.

Re: What did you do today...
Worked another 13 hour day. Better the long hours now than when the weather gets warm.
