WTF is wrong with people?
Earlier today my sister was driving along here in the Springs, doing the limit, going through a green (solid) light.
Chick (looks to be either military or military wife) ran the red doing over the limit right in front of my sister.
So my sister's 96 Grand Cherokee smacks that chick's rear bumper, tears off the front of the Jeep, ROLLS the freaking Ranger, and
NOBODY FREAKING STOPS...
This was on Cache la Poudre and Weber in Colorado Springs. NOT a rarely traveled street, and I guarantee at least two or three people saw it. There was just a freaking rollover, the front of a Jeep is torn off, what the "fudge" else has to happen before somebody stops to ask if everyone's ok???
/Rant

Then she is not fine. There could be spinal complications. She should have a few tests....
You don't say if she was taken to a hospital or not?
People are cr... when they are in a hurry.

Re: WTF is wrong with people?
because as my friend said to me the other day.....some people are incurably stupid.
Sorry to hear about your sister's harrowing experience. I hope the other person gets the book thrown at them.

Whatever you do, don't stop (1) being the nice guy and (2) ranting about all those self-minded morons out there. Maybe one day they will get the message?
Sorry to hear about your sister, I really hope she's doing better now.

Re: WTF is wrong with people?
So on Saturday I was driving along Academy and saw a guy with a scooter broken down on the side of the road. I stopped to see if I could help him. I couldn't access anything because I didn't have my tools and you can't access anything on most scooters without a full fairing removal. But while I was waiting with him (had him sit in my truck) for the tow truck to show up we started talking. I've never been so glad to stop for someone.
He was an 86 year old WWII vet. He was in the German army and was a motorcycle courier on the Russian front. Wounded in action 4 separate times (once strafed by a plane, once hit by a sniper, once hit by shrapnel from an early missile, and once hit by shrapnel from a tank trying to take him out on his motorcycle.) If any of you saw that recent Tom Cruise movie about the plot to kill Hitler, you'd know that the officers also had a regiment in training to kill all of the SS troops that actually believed in the party ideals. He was in that regiment and was being trained to do just that.
Now THAT is an old-school bad"o-ring"!

In today's society, most people selfishly believe they have more important things to do. Their routine trumps yours. Frankly, most people suck and it's a rarity to find the considerate ones.
The general attitude is "It's all about me".

Thankfully "The general attitude is "It's all about me" doesn't apply to Total Motorcycle. Here it's all about the ride.Meanie wrote:In today's society, most people selfishly believe they have more important things to do. Their routine trumps yours.
