The something weird happened, this wet stuff came down, the dogs howled and hid under the kitchen table, the community watch radio's went berserk, people panicked and locked the doors and windows and shut the kids in the bedrooms. Everyone is talking about it this morning. People took time of work and went to church, the Sangoma's are throwing bones left right and centre. Perhaps the end of the world thing is true.

Wrider wrote:Sapaul we had wet stuff come down too last night. Except it was frozen and stayed once it hit the ground. Makes it awful slick when you try to do a wheelie I'll tell you that much.

We also had a strange rumour about that. Some one told me and I believe it that it was actually ejected from a jumbo jet. The material actually freezes as it leaves the plane and if it is cold enough stays in that state until it hits the ground.

As if we did not have enough "poo poo" in our lives :? :? :? :D I can fully understand it not being conducive to wheelies or burn outs for that matter.

Oh no it makes burnouts REALLY easy... It just makes wheelies harder!

As for the blue stuff you're talking about, I've never seen that, this stuff is white and powdery.

OOHHHH that stuff, we get that here but only rich people can afford it. The Nigerians bring it in from across the Namibian border. Capetown gets a big share of it because of all the Americans that visit.

While I won't put my bike on the road in the snow (or salt...), we still get a few good Winter riding days here in mid-Ohio. Dave and I rode out on New Year's Eve, and we just went out for an hour or so last week. Just gotta get it when you can! Still, I am definitely ready for Spring to get here.

Cheers,
Loonette

We're having a late cold snap. The roads are frosty/icy so no riding.
