Yes, but.....if they were kind in the first place, then the good feelings fostered by that make a partner feel more inclined to be loving...fudging follows....

Unfortunately one needs to know when to be kind and when not to be. There are people that will acknowledge your kindness and appreciate it. And there are people who take your kindness for a weakness and try to exploit it.
