Told my shaolin instructors on my police plans... not wise. I was given a Hong Kong style fight scenario to see if I could handle myself with stress.

3 out of 4 guys before being submitted ain't too bad, now I stay home with bruises and welts...

Re: What did you do today...
Word is the Seattle guys really want the Victory Commander. The others are a Honda ST1300 I think, and Kawasaki Concourse. They love the boards on the Harley, and the Victory has them, the Honda and Kawasaki only have pegs. Supposedly some guy made a stink that the "radio is a deal breaker on the Victory, that they don't want it, they need the bikes to work," and supposedly the bikes won't work if they remove the radio. Supposedly they are hoping the guy was just having a bad day, as my dad pointed out all the cars have an AM/FM...
I believe, before they got rid of them, they only had the Kawasaki bikes as long as my dad has been there (not sure how long that is, been with the department about 25 years, not sure about on bikes though). Before that they had Harleys. He thinks they have had the current Harleys about seven years, but he could be off on that his memory for that kind of thing is not great
.
Just got some scoop today so thought I would share!
PS Today went to see the Star Wars exhibit at the Science Center, but the line was a few blocks long (never stood in any line there before! What the heck- I think Seattle must be on Spring Break or something). So we ditched that and saw Adjustment Bureau (which was doing really well until the end).

Re: What did you do today...
I just received a warranty replacement battery for my Yuasa YTX12-BS battery in the mail. Started pouring in the acid now and will seal it shortly and start the trickle charge.

My less than 1 year old Yuasa battery seems to have packed it in, it's nice to see Yuasa stand behind their warranty and send out a new one.

Re: What did you do today...
I bailed out an out-of-gas motorcyclist. I was on my way home from work, guy was about a half-mile from my house, pushing the bike along the road. He was about a mile from the gas station. I told him to give me 5 minutes, scooted home, grabbed the gas can (which had a small amount left over from snowblowing) and scooted back.
He was on a Harley Softail, said he'd switched to reserve and the bike immediately died. I got him going again, and he gave me his card- turned out to be the sales manager for a local seafood distributor, told me to come by and get a free box of shrimp for bailing him out!
Moral: always ask if a biker on the side of the road is OK.
