Ducati sez no, BMW sez yes...

BMW has confirmed it will be putting a version of its Concept C scooter into production and the bike will go on sale in 2012.

It will be very popular in Europe, but not in the U.S. The average U.S. motorcycle rider has not accepted the super scooter yet, you're labled as a freak , or strange for owning and riding one.
I am devoted to the 4 Japanese brands, will never consider BMW

Interesting tid bit there, thanks QM.

I have had this up in our Total Motorcycle Concept Guide for the past year: http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/concept- ... yshots.htm so it's good to see the Guide is accurate.

They are going overboard in scooter designs, bigger and more expensive defeats the purpose of a scooter. Whats that BMW going to cost? $12K? I had a issue paying $5K+ for my Tmax. People want low cost reliable transportation when it comes to buying a scooter, it may be reliable, but far from being low cost.
I have owned many motorcycles in the past years, from dirt to giant 1600cc cruiser bikes, to crotch rockets, and I have found out bigger isn't better, to me bigger means more physicial ability and more uncomfortable to ride. To me any 400cc to 650cc is big enough and fast enough for anybody. I am past the stage of impressing other people by the motorcycle I own, I don't care if your bike has more chrome and has a better 1/4 mile speed, all I care about if it will hold the speed limit without holding traffic up, and if my butt hurts after a long ride. I have no chrome so I don't have to spend 1/2 day cleaning and polish it. I don't have no $420 a month motorcycle loan payment, and don't have to pay $1600 a year for insurance. I feel good that my bikes can go anywhere, just as fast as any other bike, and if anybody isn't impressed by the bikes I own, I don't care!
