1st Bike Holiday of the Year

#1 Unread post by mogster »

We are off on our first holiday of the year tomorrow (in about 10hrs)! We are going to Paignton, Devon for a seaside bike/beer/music festival.

BMAD Bikers Make A Difference ~ all monies raised go to local charities.

It's a great w/e with friendly locals & beautiful countryside from moors to fishing harbours.
If anyone fancies it it is well worth checking out.

Its only about 100 miles so is really a perfect little jaunt. 8)

So looking forward to getting away.

Great ride down yesterday & room has seaview!
1st afternoon of bike festival & it was busy so if the weather holds (hazy but warm) I expect it will be packed tomorrow.

I got to watch the wedding whilst he hid under the duvet in a man huff!

Will take more pics tomorrow as a bit hazy today.

Bike event finished yesterday so today we had tourist day. Went to a favourite little fishing port called Brixham.:boat:

Missed the pirate fun tho as it was on the day before. :pirate:

Then had fresh caught fish & chips + pot of tea. :hungry1: Very English!

Last full day of holiday today :(

Wented to go for a blast on top of Dartmoor but as it is extremely windy we opted to stay lower along the coast. Sea very wild which is just how I like it!

Back home tomorrow but going to make a detour along Dorset coast. :-D

Ah, the wind in your face, the salty sea air, the English fish and chips,

the rust on your bike, riding in the sleet and snow, water in the petrol and also down the back of your neck, the smell of the drying helmet on the fireplace,

thanks for reminding me why I left

Hope you had a great time, nothing better than spending time away on a bike with an SO. Sounds like you had fun

As for the wedding, I was riding route 62 in the Karoo going to Ronnies sex shop

what? you haven't heard of Ronnies sex shop (google is your friend )
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R
