Only thing is, the current Multistrada is a "big and tall" bike. It feels fine to me, but I'm 6'1". I could see folks of shorter stature gravitating towards the Diavel. Particularly if there's some accessory support for it (unlike what happened with the B-King).HYPERR wrote:Based on what I see at the Duc site, those guys buy Multis. The guys buying Diavel are a whole new breed who didn't consider Ducs before.totalmotorcycle wrote:"Salesperson said it's aimed at aging Ducatistas who want the Ducati mill in a more comfortable bike."

Re: 2011 Ducati Diavel - COOL WALL VOTE: COOL
I am too late on this one... I was out of town the whole week of the vote... But I can't resist putting FAIL as my vote on this one as it is one ugly bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've seen both the regular and the carbon models at the m/c shows and neither are particularly attractive.
Just my

Re: 2011 Ducati Diavel - COOL WALL VOTE: COOL
Meh... I voted "cool". It looks nice in the professional photos, but I suppose I might have a different opinion if I were to see it in person. I ride what I would consider to be a "power" cruiser, as it has forward controls. The Diavel is a standard all day long. I wouldn't consider it to be a good long-distance bike, as you'd have to retro-fit quite a bit in order to have luggage carrying capacity; much more $ added onto an already high price tag.
Cheers,

Re: 2011 Ducati Diavel - COOL WALL VOTE: COOL
I think the Diavel is a muscle bike. There are very few bikes that can match it's power. Interesting looking. Not sure if I like the looks of it, but gave it a cool rating just for the pure power! I'd like to take one for a test ride! Actually I'd like to line one up next to my Vmax Gen2! What do you guys think, do I have a chance in a 1/4 mile race?
Life may begin at 30 but it gets real interesting at 140!

I saw a magazine yesterday at my local Chapters store calling the Diavel "the bike of the century (so far)".

Andrea and I saw one today at the Ace Cafe London. First time I've seen one outside of the showroom... it's ummm, big, black, plastic and ugly. (I voted Cool) Can I change my vote? haha.

Re: 2011 Ducati Diavel - COOL WALL VOTE: COOL
If I had the vote again I'd vote cool again. Definitely, comparing it to the other so called muscle cruisers that have been on the cool wall lately. Just do a power to weight ratio comparison. That should be enough to give this bike a cool rating.
