Re: What did you do today...
Spent the day catching up on maintenance on the '99 Connie. I've got it all tore apart so I can do a compression check, check valve clearance, change spark plugs, install side marker lights, and reinstall the rack of carbs. I did some laundry and started putting my new bed together too.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

I completed some of the crap required for my resume, reviewed some possible companies that will update my logo, and once again prevented my husband from canceling our brief but much needed vacation. Boy this really made tired. I'm going to go to sleep now.
Safety First! Enjoy the Ride!

Re: What did you do today...
Yesterday I finally tagged the little green demon and rode it about 25 miles. Today I rode the little thing about 150 more. Almost got all the bugs out of her from sitting for a year since the tuning and dyno runs. It really sucks when you pay someone ( a REAL body shop even) to do a job and they go out of business. Then you have to track down your parts a year later........ Then do the same thing with a reputable guy that does custom painting......... Now that the rant is over... It was all worth it. The bikes a blast to ride. It is the most responsive thing I think I have ridden. Even two cops liked it they waved at me as I rode by their speed trap..
1984 Honda Magna 700, 1987 CBR1000F, 1991 Nighthawk 750, 1994 FZR600, and for the dirt 1995 KTM 300 EXC and finally a 1986 KX500

Re: What did you do today...
I replaced Andrea's choke cable on her 2002 Suzuki GSX750Y, what a PITA working outside with the wind and loose parts. Her original choke cable seized up at 1/4 choke on the carb so it was affecting the idle speed of the bike (not for the better). Done and dusted now.
Works nice and I think the original choke cable was causing a loss of torque as it has even more bottom end now.

LOL, I've done that a few times myself, usually on the kitchen table! HAHA.. Nothing like eating dinner with a disassembled carb beside you.ofblong wrote:ugh that reminds me I need to take my carb apart and clean it.

Re: What did you do today...
Slept late because of getting into bed late, watched some golf. Now I'm heading to the store to pick up some dinner for the game...
