Where is your favorite place to ride?
After many long road trips I have concluded that there is no state like Colorado to hit the road on your two wheel
ride. You just can't beat the aspen trees and the Rockies. But, then of course you have no coastline like California in which you can catch the sea breeze. Let me know what you think.

Re: Where is your favorite place to ride?
Never had the opportunity to be in either California or Colorado. My favorite riding is any place with lots of turns and elevation changes. Around here (south-central NJ), within 100 miles there's tons of places like that: northwest NJ hills, anyplace in Pennsy outside of the southeast corner, southern NY state, etc, etc. Too many to have a single favorite.

I've ridden in Colorado and California and I feel Colorado has the better ride. There is just something about the Rockies, they're very majestic.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Always wear a helmet, eye protection, and protective clothing. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Re: Where is your favorite place to ride?
My favorite place to ride right now was out by the Grand Canyon. It was freezing cold, but it didn't really matter. You take route 64 south to route 180 to Flagstaff. It was in the middle of the night, dark, and I completely didn't know any of the turns on an unfamiliar bike (ST1300). Although by that time I knew the bike pretty good after a full day's ride and say 400 miles or so. It was after a full days of walking up and down the south rim - I didn't end up leaving the park until well after dark.

Re: Where is your favorite place to ride?
For me, my favorite place to ride is Alberta. You have mountains to the West, praries to the East and there are lots of straights and curves.
In all that you will find me heading East 9 times out of 10 as I love the praries and the openess. Absolutely an amazing experience on the motorcycle.
This was taken in Hanna, Alberta when Nickleback was still playing in local bars before they were famous.

Re: Where is your favorite place to ride?
I prefer riding in Canada to the UK. As Mike said, riding in Alberta is wicked. I really love the Rocky Mountains as well as the prairies and everything in between.

Northwest Arkansas, through the Ozark mountains. Highyway 7, from Hot Springs to Harrison is awesome. Also Highways 123, 125, 46 and many others.

From Stillwater MN down to Winona MN then back up to Prescott on the WI side of the Mississippi. Beautiful bluffs and scenic views of the river and nice little towns to stop in along the way.

Re: Where is your favorite place to ride?
Going to the Sun Highway in Glacier National Park/Montana was one of my all time favorites for a street ride. Only got to ride it once, though.
The AMA dual sport events in the deserts of Arizona and Nevada would also be on the top of my list of good rides.
I rode a Casey Folkes AMA dual sport event in Nevada back in the early 90's and had a blast!
The dual sport rides at Loretta Lynn's ranch-- Hurricane Mills, Tennessee were also fantastic.
Hard to pick just one......most of the dual sport rides I've been on were great.

I want to Arizona. But I think that there is an incident in that place.
