my new HD XL 1200c sportster crashed.
beening riding 3 yrs. on scooter, 1 yr. 250, 2yrs. yamaha 500 tmax. this is my first motorcycle, i let it crash in a u-turn going up a hill, day before had color match touring pack installed (fiber class) top case weighs 19 lb. and i didn't know that. broke bottom bracket on windshield and scratched it, saddle bag took a good scrap.
i searched (google) for more protection other than engine crash bar and had no luck. any advice any one?

To clarify, you already have crash bars and you're looking for something else?

I see saddlebag guards for the touring models, can't find one for the sporties though. I'm surprised that harley doesn't sell it, but I bet your dealer can point you in the right direction!

Have you considered learning to ride better? Check out the MSF's lineup of courses (www.msf-usa.org). Then you might not need to put crash bars all around the bike.
