Pitbull Motorcycle Lift.

I use T-Rex stands. Pitbull are nice, but even used routinely the T-rex has lasted me since 2007. For a rear, front, triple tree adapter and the full set of triple tree pins- I only spent $120 shipped on the T-rex. Roughly the same as one pitbull stand.

Pitbull are definitely quality but not the quality that I needed.

Anyone have any experience with the Pitbull manual lift? I saw a demonstration at the Timonium (MD) Bike Show earlier this year and it looked cool (although expensive)...

I need to get a lift that will easily handle my Heritage Softail (and be relatively easy to move) because I will be overseas for several months over the winter.

Other lifts that you all might recommend?

I have a motorcycle jack that I bought at Sam"s Club that cost less than 100 bucks and have lifted every tihng from my Electra Glide to my Son's Big Dog K-9 with no problems.Just make sure to extend the stabilizers and strap the bike to the stand.Harbor Freight and Sears sell similar jacks at good prices.

I need to look into lifts as well, but when I look at the underside of my bike (Triumph America) I can't see where the lift could go and not crush something that shouldn't be crushed. I had a center stand added to my bike so that (I thought) it would make cleaning and lubing the chain easier, but it only gets the bike an inch off the ground and with my old legs and artificial knees it is awfully rough getting down low enough to get to the chain. I thought a lift would solve this problem. Anyone who has a lift for a bike like mine? I want to make sure the lift I buy actually can work with my particular bike.

I have a regular standard Bonneville. The frame tubes go completely under the engine, and the lift I use pushes on the bottom of the frame tubes. I wouldn't think an America would be that different from a standard Bonneville?

I use 4x4's bolted to the lift with sections cut out for the exhaust.
