Push rod not moving

#1 Unread post by Reford »

Hi Riders,
I have been riding bikes for over 20 years, I have recently come across an 82 Honda CB900C, I am in the process of making a bobber. I am having Clutch problems, the Push Rod will not move. I can tell that someone has tried to do some work on it because the screws were loose on the case and the seal was new. When I pull in the clutch it does not move the push rod. I have checked the Cable and that is not the issue. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Rford

Chances are that the pushrod itself is seized into the housing.

I don't know that specific bike, but if you can, get on the back side of it and use some compressed air/hydraulic pressure to break it loose.

I will try that, and let you know how it goes, It will be a few days before I can work on the bike again.

Thanks.
