My Vulcan 500 was my go to bike. I did pretty much everything with it. That included light off-roading, interesting attempt at snow riding, and dirt tracking when I managed to have found qualifiers tires for it. Every recent photo of it showed heavy wear and dents all over the place. I was adventurous with that bike because it was dirt cheap to keep around and after a while I learned how to repair it on my own. It was the bike I took with me to go to rally school. The road to the place wasn't paved but it handled it so well even with less aggressive street tires. I had the Vulcan tuned up a bit for more power but looking back I wonder if it was a waste of money... The bike became an embarrasment when I went to superbike racing school though (only for showing up I rented their bike)...

Interesting, seems to be a little bit of a pattern here forming. (older mid-sized standard type bikes that don't cost a lot).

I'd have to say the Concours, I bought a second one. :D
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

I loved my first bike, a Honda CB360T.
I also loved my second bike, a Yamaha 650 Special.
Then I had the dark years where I spent more time wrenching on various rat chopper bikes than I did riding them. One was purple and it lived in my living room for two years. Whenever I could get it running it would sit there spinning around in circles on it's kickstand wearing a new hole in the carpet and filling my apartment with blue smoke.
Now I have an 07 V-Star 650 that I'm falling in love with.

I've only owned three bikes and all were the best bike for the time I owned them...when I was 9 it was a Honda Trail 70, awesome little mini bike...borrowed buddies dirt bikes after that for quite a while...then married with kids...suddenly I was 40 & realized I still wanted to ride...so I bought a Suzuki GS500, in my opinion the ultimate bike to start riding on the street...but now I have the Yamaha MT-01...this has to be my favorite, but who knows what I will own next??
