Re: What did you do today...
Yesterday and today....
I spent 3-1/2 hours in the garden and then took a bus to go shopping and then walked and then met Doc for a bite to eat and then watched a movie. No driving or riding.
Today...washed and polished my motorcycle. Phew...that was a big job. I hadn't had a chance to clean it after my long weekend ride. It had a lot of dead/dried bugs and dirt from having been caught in the rain from that trip. Then I pulled out the rest of the ivy roots from my garden.
Although my brain is relaxed, the rest of me is pooped.

Re: What did you do today...
I guess it was a yard work kinda day.
Rubia and I lazed about for the first couple hours after we got up, then attacked the yard. Edged, mowed, swept, trimmed back the roses and trumpet vines that have swallowed the mailbox, cleared all the guano from the window ledge (we've got a colony of about 30-40 small brown bats living under the eves of one window -- they keep the mosquitos down so we tolerate their company), cut down a dead tree in our grove in the backyard and trimmed back one limb of a godawful pine back there too.
Then we came downstairs and I got on the 'unconnected' computer to put together a new intro for our videos, while Rubia started knitting a pair of birthday socks for her dad. Been a long one, so we're turning in now.

Re: What did you do today...
On Saturday I broke a golden rule... I passed on a double yellow. For those that don't know me, that's something I'd rather sit behind a slow car doing 10 under for 20 miles than do, but this guy gave me no choice...
I decided to ride up Pikes Peak and got stuck behind some Indians (from India, not First Nations type). They were doing 10 under. Ok fine I'll wait for them to pull over. Ok they missed that one they'll use the next. Ok the next... This went on for 7 miles at anywhere from 10 under the limit to "I'm having to slip my clutch in first to keep forward momentum and not hit them" speeds. (My idle in first is 6 MPH just to give you a perspective) Then about 3 miles up the road I start flashing brights and beeping after noticing that they're laughing in their rear view mirror at me. I let them keep it up for 4 more miles before I finally passed them. When we got to the top we hung around for a bit. When they got to the top I reamed out the driver for driving dangerously (they arrived with 15 cars directly behind them) and people cheered me on. Some people...
Then I rode down behind an idiot in a minivan. The driver was doing 10 under and still almost going off the road in spots because he was too busy recording the drive down on his iPad stuck out of the sunroof. Said idiot also refused to pull over.

Said idiot should be reported to police for distracted and dangerous driving.
I am glad when summer is over. The only good thing about summer is that it is usually dry. Bring on autumn....

i only have 14K miles on the gixxer.
it's just been sitting here for a while now since apparently, it's so hard to get a '08 and up ZX-14 front brake master cylinder. it's what he recommended me to change that will hopefully fix my constant air problems on my brake lines.
i already did the braided brake line upgrade. he said, this master cylinder change should fix it.
