Re: This Week- 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout CVO: Vote & Dis
Not my kind of bike but I voted cool. CVOs are a pretty neat idea. If I was a rich man, I probably would get a CVO; not a Breakout but probably one of the Glides.

I know what you mean; like you, I like the idea of the CVOs and like anything top-of-the-line you can not only see the quality but feel it as well. Unfortunately I can't recall who actually bought a CVO or even rode one (other than myself). The CVO line up are the elitist Harley-Davidson's in price (although the Trike is $30k!) which is unfortunate as it might as well be "unobtainium" to too many riders. I'd like to see H-D do a "CVO option" on the base models for say an extra $4-5k; something like how the car companies do with their premium packages.HYPERR wrote:Not my kind of bike but I voted cool. Re: This Week- 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout CVO: Vote & Dis
As of this morning, the 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout CVO has collected the most votes in one week of any bike on the cool wall. Well done!
Right now we are sitting at Awesome 51%; but as the votes quickly pile in, this could change by tomorrow.

Re: This Week- 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout CVO: Vote & Dis
Now for my vote (which happens to be #40): I went a little agaist the grain and voted Cool.
I really like the CVO line up from Harley-Davidson. It really shows what H-D can do to a cruiser motorcycle, which there really is only so much you can do (as a manufacturer) between two wheels, and Harley can bring a lot of creative life to it. I don't know anyone who has owned a CVO and other than myself rode a CVO, but they are amazing bikes. I love the look of the bike (except for the tail end, sorry) and the paint scheme is awesome (but overused in the 2013 line-up). The 110 engine should appear in a XR1200X CVO.
While this CVO would definitely standout amongst other bikes, I really want Harley-Davidson to go beyond the cruiser (and touring) class and try their hand at something new and fresh. For the life of me I can't understand why H-D is still sitting on all that Buell technology, R&D and innovation and not doing something (anything) with it. If you look in the car world you have manufacturers (like Harley-Davidson) who have produced the "same" similar type of product for a long time, take Porsche for example. The Porsche 911 type sport car is great, but for 50 (?) years Porsche kept producing it and things like it, then their customers said "we want a 4 door" and the Panamera turbo came about. No one would have ever expected Porsche to produce a 4 door, and hopefully one day we see Harley-Davidson surprising the world with something vastly different as well.
Because of all this, the 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout CVO is a solid cool, but it could be awesome if there wasn't so many cool "same type" Harley-Davidsons already in production that fight each other to stand out. I guess 57 versions of Chocolate ice-cream isn't always bad, but sometimes you want the spumoni.

Re: This Week- 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout CVO: Vote & Dis
So you guys know I'm not the biggest H-D fan but hey, there is something pretty sweet about this bike, especially being CVO and all. I had to vote awesome!
It's just so darned good looking and you know the CVO means it has guts. Wow, pretty sweet!

Re: This Week- 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout CVO: Vote & Dis
Well, no matter how you slice it, the 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout CVO has been the most voted on model in 1 week on the Cool Wall since we started. Quite an achivement.
And here is how the results are after a week:
Your Coolness Factor of the 2013 Harley-Davidson FXSBSE CVO Breakout is...
Awesome 52%
Cool 24%
Uncool 17%
Fail 7%
Which puts the 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout CVO at #6 Awesome on our Cool Wall (see below). Interesting enough the Ninja 650R just beats the 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout CVO in coolness factor and you could buy almost four 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 650R's for one 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout CVO!
#5 - 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650 - Vote and Discuss - 55% Awesome - Featured: Feb 17th - Feb 24th, 2012.
#6 - 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout CVO - Vote and Discuss - 52% Awesome - Featured: August 24th - August 31st, 2012
#7 - 2012 BMW K1600GTL - Vote and Discuss - 50% Awesome - Featured: July 27th - August 3rd, 2012.

It looks nice, but the name makes me think of acne.
Fail because of the name. (and the price)
