What think I want to buy a Honda Shadow,what year do I buy?

I want to buy a shadow,but what year do I buy to get fuel inj., shaft drive, etc.?

2010 was the earliest year for FI in the Shadow lineup, the 2010 Shadow 750 "Phantom" is both FI and shaft final drive.

'04-06 Aero will be an uncomfortable fit if you're over 5'8" Nearly 9 years and 72k miles into mine and it's till performing well.

Nope. I asked about adjusting for elevation (when I moved from sea level to 4500ft) and they said it's fuel injected and takes care of itself. I still get the occasional backfire when I ease off the throttle at the Mule Pass Tunnel, though. Might have something to do with the rapid gain in elevation and getting to the top as fast as I can

You might want to fire your mechanic.

That's interesting. The local Honda dealer told me this. They also blew a lot of other smoke up my skirt, so the Suzuki dealer fixes my Honda, now.

Thanks for all the info. I rode a 06 Shadow with 1,100 miles on it. It was nice.
