I've been playing with the Garmin all day, finally figured out how to get it to show me a custom route. I can't make it actually nav through it -- the 50LM doesn't support custom routing, but I can make it highlight my custom route on the map. I rule!!

Both, unfortunately, but I could salvage 99% of the data on the drive (nothing TMW was affected as it was on a different drive). I had to run out and get a new one. I ended up with a Seagate 7200.14 3TB for $119 which I think is a great deal as it was cheaper than the 2 year old Samsung F3 1TB that was having issues. Amazing how cheap HDD's have become, I remember spending over $250 for a 120MB one back in the day and my first 1GB drive was $360.

But the important thing is I'm up and running now again. :D

Lol glad you're back up and running! Also very amazed at how cheap hard drive space has gotten. I just had to replace my laptop's HDD and ended up with a WD Blue 1TB for under 90.

It was sunny and the roads were dry so I went out for a ride this afternoon. It was 4C and pretty windy, so I stayed on the back roads.

What did you get. I'm saving up for a M1A1.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Picked up a STAR-15. Basically an M4 style AR15 made by a company called Double Star. 5.56 caliber so I can shoot 5.56 or .223.

JohnJ, I was at the Denver Tanner Gun Show and the prices on the M1s and ARs were unreal... M&P 15s that were selling for 1000 3 months ago are going for (and selling) 3500. There was a nicely but mildly modified M1 that the guy sold for 4K. Absolutely insane.

After morning snow flurries, temps shot up into the 40's and the roads pretty much dried out. So several of us (local RAT pack) went out for a lunch ride. One Triumph Trophy 1200, one Triumph Sprint ST, one Triumph Bonneville, and..... a brand new BMW S1000RR.

Image

I'm in the picture, in the middle, but hadn't taken my helmet off yet. The guy with the BMW is at the right, he's a bit of a motorcycle nut, has several Triumphs and several other Euro brands. The S1000RR is a new acquisition. The restaurant we rode to is at a local airport, hence the runways and plane in the background.

Image

For some reason, the guy taking the pictures (the Sprint rider) thought my old '05 Bonneville was worth a pic. It hasn't been washed or detailed in months!!

Any ride in NJ in January is a good ride! :D
